Current solved Research & Development projects

NEURON

The project aims to create software tools that, with their functions, will ensure the streamlining and automation of processes in the field of intelligence, ISR and electronic warfare management. The system will ensure planning, tasking and management of organic or assigned information gathering capabilities (sensors), and product creation including multi-level situational picture and recognized picture of the electromagnetic spectrum. The software tool will ensure the functionality of the intelligence cycle in its individual phases (management, collection, processing, dissemination) and the ISR process in the individual phases of TCPED. It will provide functionalities for planning, management, coordination, monitoring, integration and evaluation of electronic warfare activities in the field of communication and non-communication signals/emitters in near-real time. It implements functionalities to support electronic warfare data support measures for the classification, identification and management of parametric data captured by electronic warfare’s own means. The software will increase interoperability with existing Czech Army and NATO systems.

This project SW NEURON – C4ISTAR Sensor integration SW module for operational and tactical command and control system II is financially supported (100%) by the Ministry of Defence, 2023 – 2026, from the Programme 907 050 – Ambition – support for the development of areas in which the armed forces achieve significant results within NATO and the EU. Project participants: beneficiary – URC Systems, spol. s r.o.; other project participants – ERA a.s., JISR Institute, a.s.

EW-OFDM

The aim of the project is the design and verification of a technical solution of a functional sample of an electronic monitoring device and electronic countermeasures for early detection of the operation of unmanned aircraft equipped with on-board equipment for image transmission operating in the 1.4 GHz band, where the rules of the Public Decree – Measures of a general nature of the Civil Aviation Authority are not followed. A partial goal is to verify the properties of automatic detection methods for OFDM signals and to verify the properties of the diversity of the antenna system and spatial multiplex on real MIMO – OFDM systems and for different bandwidths. The second sub-goal is a increasing the efficiency of the electronic attack by defining the optimal parameters and properties of generated power jamming signals with the criterion of minimizing the necessary ratio of jamming to signal.

This project Electronic reconnaissance and action against on-board OFDM systems in the 1.4 GHz band VK01010006 is financially supported (50,15%) by the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic, 2023-2025, from the Programme of Security Research of the Czech Republic 2023-2029: Open Challenges in Security Research 2023-2029 (OPSEC). Project participants: URC Systems, spol. s r.o.

ZEOS

The target of the project ZEOS is the development and creation of a prototype of a compact device autonomously implementing electronic interaction against uplink and downlink communication protocols in cases of anti-social behavior of the pilot when operating an unmanned aerial vehicle contrary to the applicable legislation. The result of the project is primarily intended for security units and organizations that are authorized to use and operate electronic countermeasures against dangerous unmanned aerial vehicles in their operational deployment.

This project is co-financed by state support (35%) from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic, 2022 – 2024 from the Security Research Programme 2021-2026: development, testing, and evaluation of new security technologies SECTECH. Project participants: URC Systems, spol. s r.o.

NEOCLASSIG

The aim of this project, which is focused on international cooperation in applied research is to improve automatic methods of classification of radio and radio-technical signals, design, and verification of new algorithms with subsequent application to existing radio and radio-technical surveillance systems. New software for the automatic classification of radio and radio-technical signals using advanced signal processing methods – NEOCLASSIG with elements of artificial intelligence and machine learning will be developed.

This project is co-financed by the state support (65,27%) throught the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic  within the frameword of DELTA 2 program 2021-2024, implementation plan:2025-2027. Project participants: URC Systems, spol. s r.o. and University of Defence; foreign partners – Le Quy Don Technical University Vietnam and ASIC Technologies, JSC.

DETEKCE IED

The detection of a carry improvised explosive devices project DETEKCE aims to area of research and development the detection system of individuals who potentially can have on their body placed improvised explosive device usable to suicide attack.

The project of applied research and development was initiated and partially funded (75%) by: MoI of the Czech Republic, 2017-2019, implementation plan: 2020-2024. Project participants: URC Systems, spol. s r.o.
