SYMON Collector

SYMON Collector is an unmanned automated radio reconnaissance and surveillance system for use in locations where it is not possible to deploy a radio reconnaissance and surveillance specialist.

Depending on the variant, it is deployable e.g. for early warning to protect objects or manoeuvre units from a given threat or enemy activity.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

• Recording of radio signals (analogue/digital) and sending
  reports to a remote site, records are available locally for listening or analysis,
• Search for adversary frequencies or bands of interest, when detected of radio activity, alerts to its presence,
• Conducting reconnaissance and storing information including own location (GPS) for subsequent processing,
• Remote control via IP radio:
  • receivers tasking,
  • filling the database of receivers,
  • transmission of radio surveillance results based on a schedule,
• Simple operation:
  • operator, only operates On/Off and setting the alert method (optical or acoustic signal),
  • watchkeeper, only checks system operation.
